What's Cooking Wednesday: Slow Cooker Turkey

What You Need:
3-pound turkey breast*
Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt+pepper
Red pepper flakes to taste, for spicy option

Instructions:
Place turkey breast into slow cooker
Melt butter in bowl and then add all other ingredients
Pour mixture over turkey
Cook on high for 4-5 hours
Cut cooking twine and cut or shred turkey

Typically, on the night that I cook this turkey, I will serve it with a coupe of side. Usually mac-and-cheese and a green. Tonight it was roasted asparagus. You could also serve the turkey over a bed of rice or on top of a salad. When we have leftovers, I'll toast bread and put the turkey on one slice and avocado on the other and it's the best homemade simple-sandwich you could make! There are so many different options with this turkey. Let me know what you do!

*You can find a turkey breast in any deep-freezer in your grocery store of choice. Be warned, they are usually in a deep freezer with other parts of the turkey that are packaged the same. So just double check on the label that it is turkey breast.

Also be sure to place the turkey in the fridge a couple days before hand to make sure it completely thaws out. I'm most definitely wanted to make this (a couple times) and realized I forgot to put it in the fridge and had to wait a day or two.
